Algérie : contre-enquête sur le GIA
On October 31, 2002, a special court in Paris handed down a verdict in the case of the terrorist bombing of a Paris suburban commuter train during the summer of 1995. Officially, responsibility for the bombings was claimed by Djamel Zitouni, an Islamist at war with Algerian authorities and their allies, the French. Today, former Algerian secret service officers and figures close to the French intelligence services speak out for the first time. They reveal how Zitouni and his lieutenant Ali Touchent, who organized the 1995 bombings, were recruited and used by the Algerian secret service to exert pressure on France. They tell how certain French intelligence services were aware of the manipulation.
