Afghanistan, retour à l'école
The first calm spring for the Afghan nation. Three months after the fall of the Taliban, life slowly returns. Everything needs rebuilding: the State, the infrastructure, the villages... and the educational system. For the first time in five years, little Ariani is ready to go back to school. She is 12, but looks 8, and lives in a village between Kabul and Mazar E-Charif. Forbidden from going to school by the Taliban authorities, she receive whispered lessons in the evening from her father. So this new school term is a major event in her life. A symbolic date that corresponds to the rebirth of this wounded country and illustrates the important this people gives to the rebuilding of its schools.
