Yves Saint Laurent, le temps retrouvé

The life and times of Yves Saint Laurent as told by those closest to him: his mother, Lucienne Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, Pierre Bergé, Edmonde Charles-Roux, Betty Catroux and Loulou de la Falaise. His youth in Oran, his troubled teen years and his arrival in Paris. His discovery of Paris life. His encounter with Christian Dior and the opening of his own fashion house with Pierre Bergé. Yves Saint Laurent granted me a special interview in which he spoke about his own family album, the highlights of his life and work. The film situates Saint Laurent in his age: the effervescence of the 70s, the euphoria of the 80s, then the time of tributes. Beneath the surface, we glimpse his solitude, his special position and his joys as a creative artist. His life is a legend. In addition to the honors and the shows of complacency that are part of the fashion world, the film shows us the work of a great Proustian dandy.
