Une étoile et moi
Fanny Gaïda, danseuse étoile at the Paris Opera Ballet, was filmed by the director, a childhood friend, during the last season of her career. The ballets selected are those which best highlight the talents of this gracious and demanding artist: "Giselle", quintessence of the grand classical ballet on point, and "Doux mensonges", a comtemporary dance piece by Jiri Kylian created for her. Interweaving home movies, scenes from the dancer’s work day, classes, rehearsals and public performances, this film affords an inside look at a life dedicated to dance since childhood.
