This documentary is dedicated to the memory of those solders who gave their lives to stop Hitler’s army and to those who ensure that the dead are honored. Roman and Kostya return each summer to the mountains not far from Murmansk. They walk dozens of miles carrying white sacks on their backs. Reaching their destination, they use rudimentary tools to dig up the dead of World War II— “the war will not be over until the last soldier is found and given a decent burial.”
