Traders
A documentary portrait of those people called “traders”. What kind of work do they do? What is the passion that sometimes drives them? The stock exchange is their headquarters, where the world is on display, where everything is significant, where everything can lead to loss or gain, from the publication of the health report of a manager to a declaration of war. Traders are the first spectators of the world. Even before politicians, they learn the news that can overturn their “positions.” As seen in this film, the method consists of grasping, on the human level—i.e. the tangible, subjective level—that which moves the “financial markets.” Here, the traders are not only middlemen, they are the main players. We can consider them the hands of speculation, and speculation is everywhere, it is the stuff of mankind. It is really thought, meaning the mastering of a significant system.
