Toter Mann

One hot spring in Stuttgart, a young woman named Leyla dives into the water and plays dead. A man watches her, strikes up a conversation. They take a liking to each other. They meet again and romance blossoms. The man's name is Thomas Seeliger, a lawyer. After their first night together, Leyla disappears... and reappears in another town. She is looking for a man named Blum. Blum is a murderer. He killed Leyla's sister. After 14 years in prison and mental hospitals, Blum has been given released on parole as part of a rehabilitation program. This is the moment Leyla has been waiting 15 years for. Thomas looks for Leyla. He picks up her trail, which leads to Blum, a client of his. By the time he makes the connection, it is too late: Leyla and Blum have both vanished.
