The Death of a Wild Horse
The wild horses differ from domestic horses in respect of appearance, gene, blood, lineage and anatomy. It is the only rare animal that retained genes for 60 million years. Jungur Basin in Xinjiang was the natural habitat of wild horses. However in recent 100 years, they almost disappeared. There are under 1000 wild horses all over the world. Since 1980, Chinese Government has undertaken the program for "helping wild horses back to natural habitat". In 1988, with the Program, the first wild horse "Jungur 1" was born and named "Chinese Wild Horse No.1". On may 14th, 2000, the Mother's day of human beings, "Jungur 1" died of dystocia. The documentary records the last 24 hours of his life.
