Strainila ei acasa, acasa la straini
This reportage was made in a post-Soviet country. The Republic of Moldova won its independence 10 years ago, a period during which legislation was brought in line with European norms. Because Moldavia has many abandoned children, the law on national and international adoptions is now in force there. However, to increase their income, many state bureaucrats deliberately violate this law. Thus, international adoptions have become a trade in buying and selling children. The future of many of them is unknown. This film examines the underside of this market, the fees bureaucrats demand, and, of course, the fate of the children.
