Simon le juste
Simon Kapita is a labor inspector in the very neighborhood he grew up in, just like his father before him, and his Russian immigrant grandfather. Since his wife left him, Simon has moved in with his mother, Broncka, along with his son Alexandre, who will be 16 next year. The family lives in the grandfather’s one-time factory, whose workshops have been turned in apartments. At headquarters, Simon shares an office with a young woman, Anna. In terms of social background, lifestyle and the manner of doing things, they have nothing in common. Anna is as letter-of-the-law strict as Simon is free with the regulations of the work and civil codes. But they both share the same passionate commitment to denouncing any breaches of security and compensation, everything that makes up of workplace and relationships between employees and employers. For both, every day is a combat, every affair is the affair of their life -even an affair of the heart.
