This documentary centers on two barely publicized events. Two questions infrom these images: what is the result of the decisions taken during the Peking Conference of 1995 (4th International Women's Conference)? What is the outcome of this conference and the World March of Women which took place four months later and during which 200 women met with Kofi Annan to give him the millions of signatures in support of the march's 17 demands? To answer these questions, the director, rather than film the official conference speechs, chose to meet informally with some of these women, representatives of NGOs and government organizations. They all speak of the violation of the most basic human rights and the incredible difficulty women around the world still have just to exist.
