Romeo
Lotte Zimmermann is a perfectly normal woman. She is about 50 and has been working for almost 30 years in Munich as a city councelor's secretary in a ministry. She lives alone, likes to cook, and drinks a little too much. The story begins in 1996 when Lotte's front doorbell rings. Two policemen standing in front of it arrest her. Lotte Zimmermann has spied for the GDR for 18 years. Her East German secret police file, having disappeared in the USA, was only returned some years later. Lotte is one of those West German women, who in the 70s fell for an East German agent specifically set on them, a so-called "Romeo", who had to pay for their lover's care and affection with confidential information from their places of employment.
