In spite of all the damage we inflict on our planet, one old man refuses to give up hope. Internationally renowned scientist Pierre Dansereau believes that a new awareness will emerge, before the Earth's last gasp, to save us from the stupidity and greed that threaten our very existence as a species. He leads us on a voyage across continents, where we look upon scenes that inspire both distress and wonder. While Dansereau the scientist reveals the wrenching truth beneath the images, the camera captures all their moving splendor.
