Quelque chose dans l'air

Something in the Air

Prince Edward Island is often viewed as a paradise, a safe haven from the world. But islanders know that many of the children running through its verdant fields can't catch their breath. Are these bucolic landscapes only a mirage? Hanging over the farmer's field, reaching into every city and town, is an invisible cloud of extremely dangerous poisons. Prince Edward Island has the highest rate of hospital admissions for asthma of all Canadian provinces. Sylvie Dauphinais has learned that living in paradise comes at a heavy cost: the health of her child. Shocked by what she discovered, she wanted to issue a wake-up call to others in a documentary that is as heartfelt as it is hard-hitting.
