This film retraces a thirtysomething Parisian’s farcical journey of discovery to present-day Poland. Because he doesn’t have work in his field, Romain ends up driving a truck filled with computers to Warsaw. But, not far past the German-Polish border, he has his truck stolen from him. Lost in an unknown country, he can only hope to return to France by depending on goodwill of Serczinsky, the Polish purchaser of the computers. Decking out his questionable methods with a big grin, the Pole promises him each day: “Tomorrow the truck will be here.” Confused by the lack of understanding and discoveries, he finds his salvation in Magiosha, a Francophile language student. The murky story of this truck, stolen and recovered, gives this new couple a chance to free themselves from the borders separating them.
