Children of Embargo
Baghdad's streets are passing by but no trace of the recent armed conflict. Yet, at the bend of the path, we meet Saïf, the hurted-soul-child who will reveal us the secret face of a country disrupted by eleven-year embargo. Our peregrinations begin with this young boy looking for a job so as to survive. It leads us to Iraqi schoolboys whose fate is different according to their social class. As for hospital children, the lack of therapeutic means to cure them is another dilemma. Actually, lots of diseases like leukemia have increased tremendously in the last years. It is related to depleted uranium Western countries bombed during the "Desert Storm" ?
