Les Chinois de Paris
This film belongs to the six-part documentary series, “Français d’ici, peuples d’ailleurs”, which retraces “six paths of immigration in France.” It raises questions about the fantasies and realities surrounding these immigrations, retracing the geographic itinerary from the country of origin to France, as well as other more human paths, paths both real and symbolic, full of hurt and dreams, successes and hopes. This film takes a look at the Chinese community in Paris. What does it mean to be a foreigner? By dealing with a specific community, the film raises a universal question.
