Les Amis de Georges

Georges Brassens has lots of friends. The best-known, those who were part of his life as an artist, those we saw on news photos and black & white TV images 20 years ago. Today, there are also people from all walks of life who make up a network of friends of his memory and his songs. Some have founded associations, other published books or started up websites. Among them, too, are the "Apostles," the Evangelists according to Georges, those who, without ever having known him, devote a good deal of their time to perpetuating Brassens' songs. Who are these admirers? How did these anonymous people turn Brassens into an icon?
