La Vita degli altriOther People's Life
Mariano has lived by the laws of the Camorra all his life, obeying the unwritten rules of membership and loyalty and putting the interests of the clan above all else. But when he discovers that he has been betrayed he decides to break completely with those he considered his friends. The deaths he was responsible for and those he witnessed are events which haunt his conscience and produce feelings of disgust for the world that had always been his. He finds himself alone, without emotional ties, without friends, but with a great deal of remorse and one major regret: having murdered his brother Salvatore, whom he wrongly believed was behind the attack that killed his wife Rita. Even his only daughter refuses to see him, unable to forgive him for being "a man of honor." Meanwhile, Vesuvius is awakening. Luisa, a young volcanologist, is sent to install the safety instruments for the inhabitants. That's when she meets Mariano...
