The Last Trace
The Last Trace is a documentary which aims to portray the identity of the Yagans, a tribe already almost totally extinct at the beginning of the century. The tradition of past generations and the few customs still observed by the descendant community are presented through the testimonies of the only survivors of the Yagan culture: the Calderon sisters. As we watch and listen to the Calderon sisters, we will discover the world in which they lived, the natural environment that shaped their culture, their legends, their language...These few descendants of the Yagans still alive are aware of their fragile situation, and know that if the turbulent process of cultural integration continues, the complete disappearance of their history and traditions will be inevitable.
