For two days in June 2000, Italian producer Andrea Andermann broadcasted Verdi’s opera live from Paris. Aired in 142 countries, the production was filmed on location in the French capital: at the Hôtel Boisgelin, the Château of Versailles, the Petit Palais and the Ile Saint-Louis, with the orchestra based at the Wagram theater. This making-of covers the preparations and the emotional highlights of this major undertaking.
