La Guerrilla del Che en Argentina
There was a time when Ernesto "Che" Guevara was not a poster but a cry of rebellion for the left wing parties as well as a satanic figure for the right wing, but few could remain indifferent about his name. During the first part of the 60's, Guevara thought that the best defense against the blockades imposed by the USA was to create guerrilla hot spots all over Latin America. "El Che" himself supervised the selection of the men that would spread his ideas over America. But he was particularly careful about the selection of the man who would be in charge of his own country: Argentina. The man in charge of the mission was Jorge Masetti, an Argentine reporter that had traveled to Cuba in order to carry out a series of interviews with the revolutionary "barbudos" and ended up joining their ranks once they had their triumphant entrance to Habana. This guerrilla focus was installed in Salta, in a small northern Argentine province. This guerrilla failed and its history has been ignored for many years.
