L'Eau à la bouche
This film is about 19 women, all water polo enthusiasts and the team they form for their first participation in the Olympics. From March to September 2001, Canada’s women water polo team lived in the expectation of the Sydney Olympic Games. Six months of sacrifice and effort, of secret hopes and bitter disappointments, of difficulties to overcome and challenges to meet. Six months of eager patience. This is the filmed journal of those months of preparation which follows a handful of polo players in search of honors; it shows how glory doesn’t always come to those who know how to wait. A record of the individual dreams of 19 athletes and collective aspirations of a entire team.
