Kosovo : Comment on nous a vendu la guerreKosovo: How we Were Spun the War
Publicists of genius, influential men who flee the camera eye even as they manipulate it: these are the “spin doctors”—the most subtle form of modern propaganda. To win the day in Kosovo, western governments did everything in their power to maintain the support of public opinion. Thus they called on the best communications advisers on the planet to sell the war. Do spin doctors really have as much power as we think they do? The answer is yes. The film shows in detail how some 20 advisors were in charge of communications concerning the war. Time and again, the “war vendors” managed to orient the international media towards the same information. As the conflict continued, the spin doctors daily disseminated good stories to keep the public on tenterhooks.
