Jerusalem
Verdi wrote “I Lombardi alla prima crociata” in 1843, but 4 years later he decided to revise the opera and gave it a new title. This is the story of “Jerusalem”, which was written in French to contribute to increase the popularity of Verdi outside Italy. This opera was filmed in Genova under the direction of Ermanno Olmi and with Michel Plasson as conductor.
