Il Giardino Armonico deux
Following on Il Giardino Armonico, film featuring Italian music, a second special television recording has been made early this summer in which leading members of the ensemble play rarely-performed works from the French-style baroque repertoire, written around the turn of the seventeenth century. Salzburg's magnificent Mannierist palace at Hellbrunn, architectural masterpiece provides evocative settings for Il Giardino's performances. In its gardens, Il Giardino Armonico perform in location around the palace in period costume compositions of Rameau, Marais, Forqueray, de Visée, Telemann, Chédeville and Dieupart.
