Humanitudes
"Humanitude" is a word you won't find in the dictionary. This neologism encompasses a multitude of ideas that relate to other words: humane, humanist, humanitarian, attitude, vicissitude, negritude. Black and White: in Africa and in the West, it's not easy to be one in relation to the other and that raises a good deal of questions. Beyond the technical and financial aspects of building a school in Togo, that's the problem confronting nine young engineering students from Nantes' School of Mining Engineering. The discrepancies they experience are all the more greater because they're young, on the threshold of a brilliant career and have a superiority complex equal to the salaries they expect to get after graduation. Of course, the young people of this group, dubbed Africa 2000, will succeed in building their school: technically, it's perfect. But in human terms, how far have they gone?
