Gemelos
In a country at war, a mother sends her twin boys to stay with their grand-mother in the country. The old woman, hardened by working in the fields, despotics and embittered, mistreats the two brothers. They decide to harden themselves to avoid suffering. They learn about evil so as to riposte to the violence of the adults, without however losing sight of the concepts of fraternity, friendship and tenderness. The way they learn about life has terrifyingly contemporary resonances. The three actors of "La Troppa", a troupe from Santiago de Chile, adapted Agota Kristof's novel "The Notebook" for the stage. They have turned this moral tale into a fairy story in which the worst is never denied but is instead overcome, in which the unhapiness of growing up is a preamble to joy in life. In short, a fairy story for children from 7 to 77 and on stage a theatre of illusion.
