This work of Barbara Schaubacher is an artistic answer to "Frontside", an international art project, that took place in automn 2001 in the city of Basle. Curator Klaus Littmann invited 21 artists to design art in big dimensions for the frontsides of cityhouses of Basle. Barbara Schaubacher created a filmic equivalent to this art event. To the music of Claude Debussy, the 21 artworks melt with the real image of the city. Schaubacher's film shows how the static art images dissolve into the moving images of the city and become part of it.
