Composer Joaquin Rodrigo was born and died with the twentieth century (1901-1999). This documentary, commemorating the centenary of his birth, retraces his life and work. The "Concierto de Aranjuez" brought him world-wide fame and success, but also eclipsed many of his other great compositions. Throughout his life he composed a great deal, and, despite his blindness, even managed to write music for films and plays. His life was characterized by overflowing vitality, an open, restless and sensitive personality. He was able to use the simplest elements to produce the masterly scores which have made him one of the great figures in music history.
