The Aids epidemic in Botswana. The statistics are horrifying: in six years the average life expectancy will have fallen from 67 to 33 and one in two of Botswana's young citizens will be dead. Botswana is a country in turmoil, but a country that refuses to give in. Signs informing the population of how to avoid Aids are erected at the same place as new graves are dug. The countryside is riddled with characteristic piles of stone. They have the ressources and the will to attack the problem, but it may be too late. In this documentary we come face to face with a tragedy that need all the attention it can get. And we come face to face with a people who somehow manage to exist and struggle on in a world where the logic of life has been suspended.
