Chasse papillonThe Song-Catcher
The Song-Catcher takes us into the world of a sad old man obsessed by the memory of the woman he once loved. He spends his days chasing and collecting butterflies as life slowly passes him by. The butterfly, whose erratic flight mimics the tragic tale of his long-lost love, symbolizes his past happiness. The story, shaped by sudden bursts of memory, flirts between past and present, dream and reality, to the music of Gluck. Assailed by his dreams, the old man is constantly casting back to his time of happiness until his own final release into eternity.
