Bol d'amour

The story of Nagoné, a poet-singer who commits adultery with Goï, his former girl friend and the third wife of the village chief. Nagoné is a master of his art. He is idolized and demanded for every event, because his very presence guarantees success. But with the death of Bôlo, the chief’s brother and Nagoné’s master, the entire region begins to wonder if Nagoné will attend the funeral—Zah, the chief’s eldest son, wants to avenge the affront to his father.
