An old shepherd, Anton, is about to go back down into the valley with his six sheep and his dog Sim when he hears the call of a man who has lost his goat up in the mountain. That voice haunts him, it keeps echoing in his mind. So he leaves wife and home and set off into the autumn night to find the stray animal.
