Ben Barka : l'équation marocaineBen Barka: The Moroccan Equation
A historical portrait of Mehdi Ben Barka, the Moroccan opposition leader, theoretician and third world figure. He was kidnapped and allegedly murdered in Paris in October 1965 and his body was never found. No portrait of the man has even been attempted before. The film contains interviews, archival footage and contemporary images of the sites of Ben Barka’s life at a time when Morocco seems to prepare to lift the veil from the darkest episodes of its recent history. This is the story of a man whose assassins sought to erase his very image. This film aims to restore that image.
