7 Femmes sur les terres de Wim Vandekeybus
Dancer and choreographer Wim Vandekeybus did his first show in 1987, "What the Body Does Not Remember". He is the choreographer of the animal body. In 1999, he staged a show in which there are only men. Two years later he decided to only work with women. This led to "Scratching the Inner Fields". The film follows the seven performers: two actors, four dancers and a gymnast. They are of different nationalities and professional backgrounds and have never worked together before. Wim Vandekeybus directs them to discover the paths they will take to "explore the borderline between pain and pleasure". Through the progressive changes of these women's bodies and movements, through their perception of the work, the choreographer's style gradually emerges... in the heat of creation.
