Zetounat
On the hills of Palestine, the olive trees are very much present. We visit them, worry about their health, they're like members of the family. In the folds of their branches, we can read the history of our presence on this land. In the twistings of their roots, we find all the legends of time past because the tree is the abode of life. In the space of a year, more than 18,000 olive trees were uprooted "in the territories" by the Israeli colonists and the army, in order to expand the settlements and build roads around the Arab populations. Do the women still have the means to protect this tree which preserves the fabric of their lives ? Zetounat, stories of woman, stories of the earth, to reconstitute the events taking place in Palestine today.
