Yanina
In 1970, Jeanine Archimbaud set out for Guatemala where she started several educational and health programs for the destitute. For 24 years, this commitment earned her fierce hostility from the ruling class. Having come as a foreigner, Jeanine shared the tragic fate of thousands of victims of this underhanded war with the death of her husband, a Guatemalan doctor, who had also worked with the local population. Since 1994, Jeanine has been living in exile in Quebec, her heart filled with an incurable sense of rebellion.
