Waiting for Godot at de Gaulle
Victim of a Kafkaesque bureaucracy, Alfred (Mehran Karimi Naseri) has been forced to live in the Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport for 11 years. His refugee papers were stolen in Paris in 1988, after which he was forced to stay at the airport until he receives his papers from Belgium. Nobody expected that the process would take 11 years. During this time, Alfred has been the subject of numerous newspaper and TV reports. Trying to make his story even more sensational, reporters have added things, and left some parts untold. The film crew is at place when Alfred finally receives his papers and agrees to go to Brussels where he would get shelter. But he changes his mind overnight as many reporters show up for the event...
