Your Dark Eyes is about recollection. Mely, a woman aged about eighty, is in her room in front of a clothes rack with dresses hanging on it. She hears on the radio a long forgotten song that brings back the past. We see her as a girl, young woman and elderly lady. Each period has its own emotions, movements and colour. Mely's memory jumps back and forth between moments of innocence, passion, conflict and resignation. But her black eyes remain her black eyes.
