Trono tells the story of three street kids who walk around the city of La Paz (Bolivia) in complete freedom, looking for something to eat, glue to inhale or alcohol to drink. They do not fear the people that reject, discriminate or ignore them, or the policemen that extort and mistreat them. The only thing they fear is the loss of their freedom, or falling into the "Trono", the only place that can put an end to their "playing". Trono is the name the street kids have given to the Juvenile Reformatory, and this is precisely the place where the kids finally end up accused of robbery, where they will meet a young sociologist that has recreative therapy through theater...
