Satan rir mediaSatan Rides the Media
In the early 90s, 52 Norwegian churches were set on fire. 15,000 graves were desecrated and several people were brutally murdered. A journalist uncovered a link between these incidents and soon the European media picked up the story : youngsters in several countries commited crimes in the name of Satan and claimed to be inspired by the Norwegian Count Grishnak and the hard rock music Black Metal. The film examines what really happened. In the course of interviews with journalists, profaners, musicians and police, it shows how young people were able to exploit the media for publicity and the way in which the media added fuel to the flames.
