The Projeto Axé association seeks to save the children of Salvador de Bahia (Brazil) from the sordid perils of the streets, where many must work if they are to survive and aid their families. Based on a simple educational concept, the association has obtained exceptional results by urging young people to work out an agenda for their own lives. To understand its effectiveness, we need only listen to and watch these youths at work in the Projeto Axé...
