On April 21, 2000, Brazil commemorated the 500th anniversary of its discovery and the 40th anniversary of the founding of Brasilia. Today, at 92, Niemeyer reminisces about a life devoted to architecture, speaks of freedom, friendship, sensuality and nostalgia. He speaks of Brazil and his exile in France during the dictatorship. He speaks of Le Corbusier, Kubitschek, Castro, Malraux. He tells us of an architect's dream and a century's hopes.
