Modeling Taiwan
A film about the daily lives, work and feelings of seven figure art models in Taiwan. It describes their struggle to shatter their age-old image as a mere still life. Despite the pressures of a patriarchal society, they seek the right to regain control of their bodies. In the (literally and figuratively) limited space they have, they find the courage to come out and say who they are and show what they can do. The film is a thoughtful look at these figure artists and gradually reveals the potential of the human body and spirit.
