The Emmi Pikler Institute, or Lóczy - after the small street in which it is located on the hills of Budapest - is a day nursery where some 40 young children in their first year of life arrive and leave when a sure solution is found for them. This film introduces us to a place where the infant and the child are not only treated as people, but where the most intimate conclusions of this precept are drawn down to the slightest detail from its application to the population of a nursery. This experiment could catalyze a major reflection among those who specialize in children as well as parents the world over.
