Les Larmes de Ludovic ou le Concerto imposé

Ludovic's Tears or the Compulsory Concerto

There are twelve of them altogether... They are young and wholesome and have a healthy sense of humour. They come from Israel, America, Japan, Russia, Italy, Germany, Austria, Ukraine and Indonesia. And yet, like in the Agatha Christie's spine-chiller, they will disappear one by one from their gilded prison... until there are none. The Queen Elisabeth of Belgium Competition is one of the most renowned musical trials in the world. Since its creation in 1937, it has retained one unique feature : that each of the dozen finalists must perform an original piano concerto, composed especially for the occasion. To master it, they are sequestered for a week in an isolated residence, the "Chapelle Musicale". They can't go out and nobody can come in... Nobody ? That is, except a film crew from the RTBF...
