Les Hommes de la Maison Blanche

Secrets of State

A revealing three-part investigation on how the United States exercised its world leadership in the second half of the 20th century. The film examines how the major post-war crisis have been handled and looks at fifty years of power of the NSC, the US National Security Council, focusing on the important role played by American Secretaries of State. Each interviewee freely explains how he handled "his" crises when in office, even comments on the performance of his predecessors and successors. An exercise that provokes some surprising anecdotes.
