In 1999, the director followed the last weeks preceding the baptism of old Huli warriors, led by their chief Ghini, who had just destroyed the ancestors' house to build a church in its place to prepare the baptism of the community. One year later, a few weeks before the arrival of the year 2000, the characters are all waiting for the return of Jesus, but life has changed a lot on Ghini's land and things are getting quite complicated. After the arrival of the missionaries who has considerably reduced their power, the traditional leaders now have to face the arrival of governmental elections which have seen a woman elected as the new council of the community. Salomon, the former pastor, by committing adultery with that new council, has just been sacked by Ghini who is trying to use this event to regain his leadership.
