L'Affaire Dominici par Orson Welles

The Dominici Affair by Orson Welles

This documentary is the improbable story of the meeting between one of France's great post-war criminal cases and one of America's greatest filmmakers. In 1955, Orson Welles shot a 26 mn film on the Dominici affair for the brand-new British television station ITV. The editing was not completed. This unreleased film, The Dominici Affair or The Lurs Tragedy, has been restored and completed in respect of the original script. The film is now presented in this documentary. Through hitherto unknown archives, a return to the scene of the crime with the journalist who helped Welles, this documentary delves into the story as well as the history. An unlikely encounter between two "monsters" of the time : Orson Welles and Gaston Dominici.
